		<title> Reduced OASDI rate in Feb. 1 payroll</title>      
		<description><![CDATA[On Dec. 23, 2011, President Obama signed into law the Temporary Payroll Tax Cut Continuation Act of 2011. Included in the Act was a provision that temporarily reduced the&#xa0;OASDI (Social Security&apos;s Old-Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance)&#xa0;withholding rate from 6.2 percent to 4.2 percent&#xa0;for the first two months of 2012.
This change was effective with paychecks (and direct deposit) issued on or after Jan. 1, 2012. 		<title> &#8220;Essential Facilitation&#8221; training available</title>      
		<description><![CDATA[Shelley Murdock and Ellie Rilla will offer &#8220;Essential Facilitation&#8221; training June 15-17 at the ANR Building in Davis. The training will be three full days and the participant must be committed to participate in the training the full three days. &#8220;Essential Facilitation&#8221; is open to all UC-ANR academics and staff. The interactive workshop has a minimum session size of 10 people, with a maximum of 14.

		<description><![CDATA[If you plan on applying for the ANR Competitive Grants Program, the deadline for submitting letters of intent is Tuesday, March 15.
For more information on submitting letters of intent, log into your ANR Portal and locate the Universal Review System in the lower right of the portal.&#xa0; Under &#8220;Open Systems,&#8221; click on &#8220;ANR Competitive Grants.&#8221; The full RFP is under &#8220;System Documents&#8221; on the right.

		<title> &apos;Crucial Conversations&apos; training in May</title>      
		<description><![CDATA[A &#8220;Crucial Conversations&#8221; workshop will be offered by Darlene Liesch, emeritus UCCE advisor, and Linda Marie Manton, executive director of ANR Staff Personnel. The 14-hour training will be offered on May 18-19 in Davis.
The workshop will begin at 9:30 a.m. the first day and conclude by 3 p.m. the second day. The workshop is open to all ANR academics and staff.
