Pre-Weighing of Market Beef

The Merced County fair will once again be pre-weighing market beef and pulling hair follicles for potential DNA testing as a condition of entry at this year’s Fair.  All market beef entries must be brought to Turlock Livestock, 10430 North Lander Avenue, Turlock, on Thursday, February 16th, between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 PM.  While at the yard, we will take a certified scale weight, ear tag the animal and pull a hair sample to put on file. 

INDEPENDENT MARKET BEEF EXHIBITORS MUST PROVIDE A PICTURE OF THEIR ANIMAL AND PROOF OF OWNERSHIP AT THE PRE-WEIGH ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH.

4-H Celebrating Four Decades and the Retirement of Richard Mahacek

OPERATION CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE

It's the holidays and everyone is shopping for those special gifts to give.  Please include at least one more gift on your shopping list. 

This year many families are experiencing a loss of income.   Like all families they want Christmas to be special for their children, but are finding it hard this year.  We can help.

We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children ages 1 – 16. 

We'll have a collection barrel here in our office next week.  Please bring your gifts of toys. The barrel will be picked up on December 20^th so please get your donations turned in before then.  Thank you to everyone that has donated a gift.  We still have a long way to...
