UC Master Gardener Program's Research Gardens at Elkus Ranch
At the UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Elkus Ranch Environmental Education Center on the coastside of San Mateo County, the UC Master Gardener Program of San Mateo & San Francisco Counties operates a Research Garden in a sunny plot of land along the Purisima Creek.
Each year, we test various edibles and ornamentals to see what might do well in Climate Zone 17. Our findings are posted here to help other home gardeners with information and advice.
