Hansen Advisory Board

Thelma Hansen's bequest called for the appointment of an Adsory Board with representatives from Ventua County Cooperative Extension, Ventura County Farm Bureau, the local commercial farming industry, the community, and the University. The Advisory Board is responsible for providing the University with county-based advice and knowledge on the needs of Ventura County agriculture and for helping to carry out the objectives of the endowment. The Advisory Board provides the Vice President-Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) with advice, consultation, information, and recommendations on the use of the funds available annually to fulfill the purpose of the Thelma Hansen Fund.

Regular members will be appointed for a term of four years and can be reappointed for an additional four-year term and shall serve at the pleasure of the Vice President of ANR. All appointments will begin July 1 and end June 30. If a member resigns, a new appointment will be made to complete the prior member's term.

Alternate Board members shall serve a one-year term, with the possiblility of reappointment for one additional year.
